"Honey are you watching the baby?" "Yeah I'm on it!"

This is an image I viewed when walking in on my husband while he was "supposedly" watching our daughter. While he surfs the internet Elizabeth climbs everything in sight. And yes she climbed on to the desk by herself!!
I started to wonder what they played while I did some chores around the house or attempted to take a nap. The unusual quiet atmosphere was like a silent alarm (as all mommy's know). Sure enough as I venture closer to the scene my eyes could not believe the image before me. I quietly ask my husband, "Honey are you watching the baby?" As usual his response is delayed and I hear myself repeating the question all the time eyeing my daughter who's starting to jump up and down in excitement on top of the desk. He finally responds with, "yeah I'm on it." Hmmm, I say, "that's funny because I am currently watching her jump on your desk (within inches of him I might add) and all my mommy instincts scream, "Are you freakin' insane to think this is acceptable?" Of course I can't help but run for the camera so I can take a quick picture before I say, "No No." Anyway, I have decided it's best that I keep a close eye on my husband while he is "supposedly" playing with Elizabeth.

"Dinner? You want Dinner?"

Ha ha ha...my husband has learned many times to never ask me, "what's for dinner?" I don't know about you but thinking about food and meals is the last thing on my mind. I'm thinking about whether or not I had time to brush my teeth before I left the house, if I remembered to change my daughters diaper, does my husband have clean clothes for tomorrow, did I take the garbage out and so on and so on. Food, please!!!

A Mini Tornado

Well it is 9:30 on Saturday morning and I've already had 3 cups of coffee. I've made french toast and sausage for breakfast, special request from my darling husband. I think I have changed Elizabeth's diaper 3 times already. Elizabeth is like a toddler mini tornado. She makes destruction everywhere she goes. I've learned to clean up the destruction in one room before she moves to the next room. I make sure she always participates in the cleaning so she can learn by seeing my actions. Maybe some day soon she will surprise me and pick up her own toys. One can always dream...

Too much to do and to little time

Sometimes there just isn't enough caffeine intake to keep me going but in the end I find a way to survive. Thank God it is Friday and a 3 day weekend no less!
A way to save some time...use your time productively while waiting in lines. A great example, 5 people ahead of me in the UPS cashier line and during the time I waited I wrote thank you notes I had been meaning to send but had no time to do so. I was able to finish them and mail them all that day.

If you have time to spare check out this waste of online space...
